Reinstatement is a process by which an extra-provincial corporation, whose Alberta registration has previously been cancelled for failure to file an Alberta annual return, is returned to an active status in Alberta in order to carry on business.
This process is not available when an extra-provincial corporation has voluntarily cancelled its Alberta registration.
In this situation, the extra-provincial corporation must re-apply for registration and will receive a new corporate access number
